My main hobbies are amateur radio, computers and cycling.
Amateur radio is a world wide hobby, where persons study various radio related topics and then sit exams set by their relevant communication authority. Following success at these exams, the applicant can then obtain an amateur radio callsign, which then allows that person to use various modes of radio communication, on a whole range of frequencies, as set by international agreement. Amateur radio operators are also some times referred to as hams. I am also a member of the Ballarat Amateur Radio Group, Inc. We have our own home page, which can be accessed by clicking our logo on the right.
Other interests of mine include building computers and bicycle riding. I have learnt a lot about computers by building them up and then installing operating systems and programs.
